This confirms what we who live and visit here already knew – the mile long street which has been in use since 1699 when Williamsburg was made Virginia's capitol – is one of our favorite places to walk, talk, and visit.
As Franklin D. Roosevelt declared 75 years ago when he came to dedicate the newly restored street, it's "the most historic avenue in America."
Is it any wonder I draw inspiration from its beauty and history? Y'all come!
